Motorized Manuipulator
We have built a variety of custom motorized positioners. We offer .500 inches of travel in submicron increments up to 2" of travel.
The XYZ500 MIMT is an inline version of our motorized manipulator. It has the capability to step in nanometer resolution. This is an open loop positioner. There are ways to add encoders if desired. Our customers enjoy the small footprint and 12 mm of travel to perform tests remotely instead of adjusting a knob to move the test needle around.
The XYZ 500 MLMT and MRMT are a less expensive version of the motorized 12 mm travel positioners. They have mounts for home sensors and offer faster speeds than the XYZ 500 MIMT. The MLMT and MRMT are assembled using a motor from Hayden Switch and Instrument.
The controller is capable of controlling up to 5 three axis micro positioners. It also has a serial port for external PC control. Since the control is made up using a micro processor that runs the micro stepping chips all the commands are sent at a low level. This makes operating the control simple and precise.

DC Probing
We have so many styles of probe arms and probe arm holders to choose from. Analytical probing and micro positioning can be a large task in the semiconductor industry. We have two main DC probing arm styles. The 20240 and the 20249. The main difference is an additional drop in the 20249. The 20240 is also available in a center mount. All of these differences affect the reach and drop of the test arm.
All the test translation stages come standard with a 20240 or a 20249. The longer versions of these same arms are the 20240-2 through 20240-6 and the 20249-2 through the 20249-6. Also the center version of the 20240-2c through the 20240-6c. These test arm holders can be mounted upside down to give you more rise instead of drop. We supply companies with analytical probing options that are custom for their project. Just email us with your analytical probing questions.
RF and HF probing
We have worked together with many customers to come up with a inexpensive solutions to help interface with probes made from a vast number of manufacturers. The arms and adapters also help with the numerous probe station designs. Some probes are testing at the same level as the base on the micropositioner and some have to reach up to hit the pads and others have a drop to probe.
